The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ty Perry
Ty Alan Perry, 44, Rockford, died at 7:52 p.m. Sept. 17, 2010, at Genesis Health Care System in Zanesville.
He was born Jan. 20, 1966, in Celina, to Bill Perry and Pam Cencebaugh Sykes, who survive in Rockford. On Nov. 11, 2000, he married Lisa Barna, who survives in Rockford.
Also surviving is a daughter, Rachel Perry, Rockford, a son, Bill (Amanda) Perry, Rockford; four sisters, Teresa (Gary) Hodge, Rockford, Tammy Sanders, Vass, N.C., Angie (Mike) Staugler, Maria Stein, and Tia (Dan) Salisbury, St. Marys; two stepbrothers, Jason Leis and Justin Leis, both of Rockford; two stepmothers, Jane Perry, Rockford, and Linda Stetler, Willshire; a father and mother-in-law, Gene and Sue Barna, Rockford; and two grandchildren.
He worked for his own constrcution company, B & R Boring in Rockford. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1292 in Rockford and Sons of the American Legion Post #508 in Rockford.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold a service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Rachel's Education Fund or Rockford Swimming Pool.
