The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Leonard Homan
Leonard H. Homan, 94, Coldwater, died Oct. 1, 2010, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Coldwater to Frank and Philomena Kessen Homan. On Sept. 26, 1955, he married Mildred Stoll, who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are four children, Karen Homan, Charlotte, N.C., and Carl, Neal and Earl Homan, all of Coldwater; a brother, Herbert Homan, Celina; and a sister, Clara Hess, Coldwater.
Deceased are eight siblings, Agnes Homan, Al Homan, Ed Homan, Emma Retzmer, Mary Ann Gerlach, Werner Homan, Catherine Bergman and Dorothy Benoit.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. He also was a member of Eagles 3025 and the American Legion, both of Coldwater. He was a Purple Heart recipient during World War II.
Funeral Mass was 10:30 a.m. today at the church. Burial was at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coldwater.
