The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Norman Eshleman
Norman Eshleman, 80, St. Marys died at 7:20 a.m. Oct. 7, 2010, at his home.
He was born June 26, 1930, in Auglaize County to Dewey and Maude Hertenstein Eshleman. On Feb. 17, 1951, he married Shirley Reineke, who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Kathy Henkle, Rockford, Cheryl (David) Hasenjager, St. Marys, Deborah (Rick) Francis, St. Marys, Scott (Stephanie) Eshleman, Wapakoneta, James (Erinn) Eshleman, St. Marys, and Bobbi (Dave) Whitney, St. Marys; a brother, Stanford Eshleman, Minster; a sister-in-law, Ruth Eshleman, St. Marys; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased is a grandson; a brother, Eldon Eshleman; and two sisters, Wanda Engle and Marjorie Eshleman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean War era. He worked at the Ford Motor Company in Lima and at the St. Marys Foundry. He also worked as a bartender. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys and was a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 and American Legion Post 323, both of St. Marys.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating. Burial with military honors is at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
