The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Anthony Evers
Anthony J. Evers, 94, Maria Stein, died Oct. 17, 2010, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born April 7, 1916, in Cassella, to Frank and Anna Holdheide Evers. On Nov. 4, 1950, he married Marie R. Vondrell, who died June 20, 2008.
Surviving are three children, Janice (Bill) Rethman, Fort Loramie, Gene (Sharon) Evers, Maria Stein, and Rick (Brenda) Evers, Maria Stein; three sisters-in-law, Delma (Wilfred) Depweg, Coldwater, Louise Vondrell, Cincinnati, and Pat Vondrell, Dayton; a brother-in-law, Leon Vondrell, Fort Recovery; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are four sisters and their spouses, Mary (Joseph) Hartings, Matilda (Edwin) Rose, Agnes (Leander) Schwieterman and Regina (Ernest) Schwieterman; four brothers-in-law, Urban Vondrell, Luke Vondrell, Marinus Vondrell and Eugene Vondrell; and two sisters-in-law, Rosie Vondrell and Rita Vondrell.
He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Knights in Cassella. He worked as a farmer, a bus driver for Marion Local Schools and was a member of the Mercer County Plowing Association.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
