The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Thomas Vogan
Thomas "Tub" Vogan, 88, St. Marys, died April 12, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 20, 1922, in St. Marys, to Thomas Tim and Olga Kiser Vogan. On July 17, 1964, he married Betty Arnold, who died Sept. 28, 2008.
Surviving are two sons: Nick (Debra) Hubble, Magnolia, Texas, and Tim (Sue) Vogan, LaGrange, N.C.; a brother, James (Dottie) Vogan, Ohio City; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are two brothers: Adam "Buster" Vogan and Jake Vogan; two half brothers, Pat Thomas and Bill Thomas; and an infant sister, Mary Ann Vogan.
A World War II veteran, he served with the Army at the Battle of the Bulge and during the invasion of Normandy. He earned a Bronze Star.
He retired from St. Marys Lumber Company and also worked for area contractors including Kessler Builders.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 and American Legion Post 323, both in St. Marys.
Graveside funeral rites are 1 p.m. Saturday at Elm Grove Cemetery, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 9289 and American Legion 323.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home.
