The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

James L. Bubp
James L. Bubp, 73, Fort Recovery, died at 1:11 a.m. April 15, 2011, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 3, 1938, in Fort Recovery, to Frederick and Mary Moeller Bubp. On Nov. 23, 1961, he married Charlene Wortz, who died Oct. 17, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Bradley (Maria) Bubp, Piqua, and Brian (Melinda) Bubp, Fort Recovery; three brothers, Tom (Marilyn) Bubp, Englewood, Dave (Cheryl) Bubp, Celina, and Steve Bubp, Van Wert; a sister, Janice (Ralph) Jutte, Hebron; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant sister, Virginia Bubp; and a brother, Jerry Bubp.
He was the former owner of Fort Recovery Lumber Co., and a 1956 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He attended Miami University, Oxford, served in the U.S. Army and served on the Fort Recovery Fire Department. He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
