The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Cecilia Eyink
Former Chickasaw resident Cecilia Eyink, 94, died May 9, 2011, at The Gardens in St. Henry.
She was born June 18, 1916, in McCartyville, to Joseph and Agnes Prenger Reithman. On July 20, 1940, she married Vernon F. Eyink, who died May 24, 1995.
Surviving are her children, Kathleen Pleiman, Sidney, David L. (Diana) Eyink, Celina, Larry (Mary) Eyink, Chickasaw, Marilyn (Ed) Schwartz, New Bremen, 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are siblings, Raymond Riethman, Marie Riethman, Marcella Pleiman, Clarence Reithman, Dorothea Harting, Lorena Heitkamp and Bernard Riethman; and a son-in-law, John Pleiman.
A member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, she was a member of the Rosary Altar Sodality, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber, St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Gene Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
