The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Helen Ryan
Helen E. Ryan, 84, of St. Marys, died at 2:15 p.m. June 15, 2011, at Celina Manor Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 9, 1927, in Herrin, Ill., to the Rev. O. V. and Faye Rhoads Mewbourn. In 1983, she married L. Rex Baker, who is deceased. She later married Charles Ryan, who died in 2001.
Surviving is a son, Michael (Dottie) Baker, St. Marys; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Deceased are two brothers, J. Dean Mewbourn and Virgil Mewbourn; and a daughter, Charlotte Fay Baker.
A graduate of Newcomerstown High School and Olivet Nazarene University, she had worked at Pax Insurance and Vogel Insurance and the Northwest Ohio Nazarene District Center, all of St. Marys. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, St. Marys, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Private family services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elm Grove Cemetery.
