The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Esther Schmidt
Esther Frances Imler Schmidt, 80, died in the early morning hours of June 9, 2011, in Fort Collins, Colo.
She was born July 21, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to John and Ruth Kirbach Imler. On June 21, 1953, she married Lysle Schmidt of Celina, who died Jan 26, 2006.
Surviving are her children, David (Pam) Schmidt, Rockford, Ill., and Lynette (Philip) Kittle, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, May (Clyde) Zeider, Fort Wayne; a sister-in-law, Mary Schmidt; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers-in-laws, Joseph and Arlan Schmidt.
She was a pastor's wife at various churches and founded the monthly women's prayer breakfast in the Celina Area. She was retired from Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
Burial was at North Grove Cemetery.
