The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lee Deerhake
Lee R. Deerhake, 76, New Knoxville, died Aug. 29, 2011, at Stein Hospice Center, Sandusky.
He was born March 11, 1935, in New Knoxville, to LeRoy and Laura Vordermark Deerhake.
Surviving are brothers, Reuben (Pauline) Deerhake, Sun City West, Ariz., the Rev. Marvin (Mary) Deerhake, Bicknell, Ind., Robert (Sandy) Deerhake, New Knoxville, and Gene (Mary) Deerhake, Marblehead.
He was a 1953 graduate of New Knoxville High School and had retired as a heavy equipment operator-transporter. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and Eagles Lodge Aerie 767, St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Williams officiating with Rev. Marvin Deerhake assisting.
He had chosen to participate in the Anatomical Gift Program of The Ohio State University. His remains will be buried privately at a later date in the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Memorials may be made to the radio fund of the church, Lakeside Volunteer Fire Dept., Marblehead, or to Stein Hospice Center, Sandusky.
Arrangements are being handled by Vornholt-Miller Funeral Homes, New Knoxville.
