Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Myers Road and state Route 197. According to a Celina Police Department report, Susan M. Minch, 45, Celina, stopped for the stop sign at the intersection and then pulled her Ford Expedition into the path of a van driven by Tamara Shannon, 52, of Mendon. Shannon traveled off the road, striking a drainage tile and then coming to rest against a tree in front of 7262 state Route 197, as pictured. Shannon and her three passengers, Rikki Poppe, 18, Joshua Poppe, 19, and Brittney Estle, 19, all of Mendon, were transported to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. Estle then was transported by emergency helicopter to St. Rita's Hospital in Lima. No condition reports were available this morning. Minch was not injured and was cited for a stop sign violation.
