The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Donald Dick
Donald J. Dick, 76, Decatur, Ind., died at 6:50 p.m. Oct. 7, 2011, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, where he had resided for two-and-a-half years.
He was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Adams County, Ind. to Albert and Virgil L. Andrews Dick. On Feb. 16, 1957, he married Mary M. Thatcher, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Kim (Dave) Robbins, Celina, Sheri (Bob) Keck, Fishers, Ind., Matthew (Rachael) Dick, Crown Point, Ind., Amy Webb, Noblesville, Ind., and Dawn (A.J.) Voiles, Franklin, Ind; siblings, Alice Liechty, and Doris (Loren) Sprunger, all of Berne, Ind., Robert (Carol) Dick, Fort Wayne, Ind., Herman (Ardella) Dick, Langhorne, Pa., Harold (Elaine) Dick, Albany, Ind., Mary (Jerry) Bean, Indianapolis, and Roger (Arlene) Dick, Cary, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Deceased is a son, Scott A. Dick; and three siblings, Violet Beck, Esther Dick and Ed Dick.
He was a graduate of Adams Central High School and had retired from International Harvester (Navistar) after 30 years of service. He was also a farmer.
He was a member of St. Luke Church in rural Decatur, where he served as deacon and usher.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. today at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the church or Adams County Community Foundation, Alzheimer's Fund or Adams Center Scholarship Fund.
