The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Edwin Eby
Former area teacher Edwin L. Eby, 81, Richmond, Ind., died Nov. 17, 2011, in Richmond.
He was born July 6, 1930, in Springfield, to Chester and Ruth Anna Roach Eby. He married G. Maxine Doughman, who died Dec. 22, 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Eby, Richmond, and Debora Wines, Billings, Mt.; a son, Michael (Beverly) Eby, Carmel, Ind.; a sister, Lois (Harold) Skillings, Springfield; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are siblings, Mabel Stott and Donald Eby.
A graduate of Miami University, Oxford, he majored in music education in instrument and vocal. He first taught music in Jeffersonville. He taught in Rockford starting in 1954 and in 1957, he began teaching in Celina.
In 1967, he began teaching in Richmond schools. He served as music director for Richmond Civic Theater and was music director for several Richmond churches.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Richmond.
A memorial service and musical celebration are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Military honors will be conducted by Wayne County Honor Guard.
At his request, his body will be donated to Indiana University Medical Center.
Arrangements are by Doan Mills Funeral Home, Richmond.
Memorial contributions may be made to Richmond High School for honors and awards or to the school's music department.
