The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Byron "Barney" Roll
Byron Herbert "Barney" Roll, 74, Bellefontaine, died Dec. 11, 2011, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born May 3, 1937, in Darke County, to Herbert Ellsworth and Sarah Esther Martin Roll. On June 18, 1998, he married Darlene Ann Kramer, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Janie L. (Denny) Overley, Celina, Kay A. Roll, Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, John H. (Chan Stroman) Roll, Madison, Wis., David B. (Melissa) Roll, Leipsic; siblings, Carolyn Brandon, Celina, Dwight (Barbara) Roll, Punta Gorda, Fla.; in-laws, Dola Roll, Greenville; Dan (Vicki) Kramer, Delphos; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are siblings, Nevin Roll, Gerald M. Roll, Roberta Davis.
He was retired from CenturyLink. He was a member of Lions Clubs International, Ohio Lions District 13E, Waynesfield Lions Club, Lions International Pin Trading Club, Ohio Lions Pin Traders Club and the Fellowship of Brethren Genealogists,
He attended school in Ansonia. He served in the Ohio National Guard and was a former member of the Rossburg Volunteer Fire Department. He served a term as Rossburg mayor.
He was a member of Stony Creek Church of the Brethren, DeGraff.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenville Church of the Brethren, Greenville, the Revs. Wayne Downing and Lynn Mercer officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials may be made to the church or to Ohio Lions Sight & Hearing projects.
