The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert Springer
Robert W. Springer, 95, Wapakoneta, died at 10:05 a.m. Feb. 25, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Sept. 29, 1916, in St. Marys to Clarence W. and Kathryn Makley Springer. On Nov. 23, 1940, he married Roma M. Walters, who died Nov. 4, 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Roberta Loewy, Sacramento, Calif., and Rebecca (John) Seals, Wapakoneta; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Ronald Springer; a son-in-law, Erich Loewy; and four siblings, Paul Springer, Charles "Bus" Springer, Mary Magdalene Terry and Gertrude "Babe" Springer.
He retired in 1976 as manager for the Norfolk & Southern Railroad. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict, specializing in logistics.
He was a member of Wapakoneta Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Marys American Legion. He was a former member of the Wapakoneta Eagles. He played in a West Central Ohio band, The Rhapsodiers, which played in area ballrooms during the era following World War II.
Services are 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion in Wapakoneta.
Memorials may be directed to the VA Medical Center, Dayton.
