The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Rev. Lawrence Heiman
The Rev. Lawrence "Larry" Heiman, C.PP.S., 94, died Feb. 26, 2012, in the infirmary of St. Charles Center, Carthagena.
He was born Aug. 24, 1917, in Decatur, Ind., to John and Anna Rumschlag Heiman. He entered the Society in 1932 and was ordained on Dec. 5, 1943.
Surviving are a sister, Irene Hamrick, Decatur, Ind.; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, the Rev. Ambrose Heiman, C.PP.S., Edward Heiman and Richard Heiman, and two in-laws, Mary Heiman and Victor Hamrick.
Soon after his ordination, he was assigned to teach music and drama at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind., which is sponsored by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. In 1970, he earned a doctoral degree in music from the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome.
He was instrumental in establishing an advanced music degree program at St. Joseph's College. In addition to his teaching duties, he spent his summers as the director of the Rensselaer Program, an annual summer institute on church music. He directed the institute from its founding in 1960 to 1993. It remains the nation's longest running program of its kind. In 2007, he retired to St. Charles Center.
During his lifetime, he received numerous awards for his work in musical education, including the prestigious Jubilate Deo award in 2007 from the National Association of Pastoral Musicians.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Center, the Rev. Larry Hemmelgarn officiating. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery.
Calling is 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at St. Charles. A prayer services will at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, Cincinnati.
