The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Rita Wannemacher
Rita M. Wannemacher, 90, Coldwater, died March 5, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born July 9, 1921, in St. Sebastian to Edward and Eleonora Kramer Schwieterman. On Sept. 10, 1947, she married Roman Wannemacher, who died April 28, 1968.
Surviving are six children, Lin (Carlan) Silha, Spokane, Wash., Barb (Ajax) Daugherty, Plano, Texas, Carol (Dan) Harlamert, Coldwater, Jan (Nick) Gaerke, Centerville, Jim (Vicki) Wannemacher, Middletown, and Rick Wannemacher, Lubbock, Texas; two siblings, Helen (Clete) Schmitz, St. Henry, and Ivo (Mary Ann) Schwieterman, Burkettsville; five sisters-in-law, Merdella Schwieterman, Cranberry Prairie, Helen Miller, Dayton, Margaret (Mark) Dodds, Fredericksburg, Va., Evelyn Norton, Chicago, and Shirley Wannemacher, Columbus; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Nancy Wannemacher; siblings and spouses, Arnold and Luella Schwieterman, Louis Schwieterman, Matthew and Coletta Schwieterman, Cyril Schwieterman, Alvera Clericus and Cordula and Norbert Schmitz; in-laws, Ralph Miller, Hilary Wannemacher and Alberta and Harold Calvelage.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
