The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Ellen Eichenauer
Mary Ellen Eichenauer, 92, Goodrich, Mich., died May 21, 2012, at Grove Adult Foster Care, Goodrich.
She was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Rawson, to Burt and Ara Nichols Hews. She married Gerald DeVore and Edgar Eichenauer, who are deceased.
Survivors are a daughter, Rochelle DeVore (Dr. Ronald) Coleman; stepchildren, DeWane (Sarah) Eichenauer, H.W. Ike (Connie) Eichenauer, Larry (Mary) Eichenauer, and Sharon (Gary) Moore; a sister, Bernadine Basinger; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Nanette Dietsch; a son, Douglas DeVore; and a sister, Catherine Hews.
She was a member of Paulding United Methodist Church; Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina; and Faith Baptist Church, Davison, Mich. She was the Past Matron Order of Eastern Star, Paulding, and worked for several years at the ASC office in Paulding.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Allen Funeral Home, Davison, the Rev. Dr. John Lewis officiating. Burial is at a later date at Harmon Cemetery, Gilboa.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
