The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Division IV State Baseball Championship Game

COLUMBUS - Devon Poeppelman didn't realize the game was over until he got gang-tackled by his teammates.
Minster's junior shortstop singled to left with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to drive in the game-winning run as the Wildcats knocked off Cuyahoga Heights 5-4 to capture their second straight Division IV state baseball championship on Saturday at Huntington Park in Columbus. [More]

COLUMBUS - The Grand Lake area earned three state championships in the running finals of the state track meet on Saturday at Jessie Owens Stadium in Columbus.
Minster's boys repeated as state champions in the 1,600-meter relay in Division III, Coldwater's Sarah Kanney won the 1,600 meters in Division II and Celina's Hannah Fleck earned the D-II state title in the 800 meters. [More]
