The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Carl Rose
Carl W. Rose, 82, of Celina, died June 7, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Feb. 26, 1930, in St. Henry, to Roman and Marie Leistenschneider Rose. On Oct. 29, 1955, he married Lucile "Lucy" Krieg, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Wayne (Melanie) Rose, St. Marys; two brothers, Joe (Donna) Rose, Coldwater, and Fred (Irene) Rose, St. Henry; three sisters, Berdella (Leonard) Hemmelgarn, St. Henry, Regina (Elmer) Hemmelgarn, Russia, and Rita (John) Schmitmeyer, Coldwater; and sisters- and brothers-in-law, Edna Rose, Fort Recovery, Juneta Rose, Englewood, Margie Rose, Coldwater, Virgil (Rosie) Krieg, Fort Recovery, Robert Gerlach, Coldwater, Marlene (Ronald) Schmitz, Miamisburg, Ralph (Kathleen) Fullenkamp, Fort Recovery, Harold (Pat) Krieg, Fort Recovery, Marie (John) Sacher, Celina, and Karen Bergman, Yorkshire.
Deceased are four brothers, Paul, Luke, Herman and Alfred Rose; a sister, Eleanor Hake; and in-laws, Margaret Rose, John Hake, Elsie Gerlach, Onalee Fullenkamp and Donald Bergman.
He retired from the former Avco New Idea plant in Coldwater and from farming. He was a 1948 graduate of St. Henry High School and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its Men's Society.
Funeral Mass was today at the church. Burial was at St. Anthony Cemetery.
