The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Edna Frierott
Edna M. Frierott, 89, of Minster, died at 6:30 a.m. June 22, 2012, at Elmwood of New Bremen, where she was a resident for three months.
She was born Sept. 28, 1922, in Minster to George and Olivia Kleinhenz Thieman. On Jan. 17, 1946, she married Richard P. Frierott, who died Nov. 19, 2004.
Survivors are children, Tony (Beth) Frierott, Minster, Elaine (Tom) Lolli, Dublin, and John (Jill) Frierott, Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Betty (Myrle) Vallo, Dayton; a brother, Harold (Betty) Thieman, Minster; a sister-in-law, Chris Thieman, Minster; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Roger Thieman; and two sisters, Hilda Wehrman and Alice Poeppelman.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, a 1940 graduate of Minster High School and a 1943 graduate of Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:30 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
