The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Carol Shepherd
Carol D. Shepherd, 67, of St. Marys, died at 1:16 a.m. June 28, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 2, 1944, in Piqua, to Perry W. and Delora Creager Shepherd.
Surviving are a brother, P. William Shepherd Jr., St. Marys; three sisters, Teresa (Dave) McCormick, Coolville, April (Darwin) Shepherd, Lima, and Joyce (Tony) Shinaberry, Van Wert; and a stepmother, Patricia Shepherd, St. Marys.
She retired as a production worker at the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. plant in St. Marys. She was a Fort Loramie High School graduate and a U.S. Army veteran.
Services are 7 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Judy Ball officiating. Military rites will follow. Private burial service will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
