The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Carol Hagen
Carol J. Hagen, 91, Celina, died at 10:31 a.m. July 24, 2012, at The Gardens, Celina.
She was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Northport, Mich., to Fred and Daisy Nelson Baumberger. On Oct. 11, 1942, she married John "Frank" Hagen, who died April 6, 2009.
Surviving are three sons, Fredric "Rick" (Eunice) Hagen, Celina, Jeffrey (Debra) Hagen, Delano, Minn., and Dr. Karl (Barbara) Hagen, Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Mary (Ron) Clark, LaFontaine, Ind., and Carolyn (Chuck) Heindel, Garner, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Susan Hagen, Hudsonville, Mich.; a brother, Noel (Marie) Baumberger, Tucson, Ariz.; four sisters, Mary Frehammer, Niles, Mich., Trudy (Robert) Lewis, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Sue (Richard) Hansen and Martha (Carlyle) Roberts, all of Northport, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Chris Hagen; two brothers, Richard and Walter Baumberger; and a sister, Faye Dinsmore.
She was a retired Wright State University-Lake Campus English teacher and member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, the Altrurian Club and University Women's Club. She graduated from Northport High School, Ohio Northern and Ball State.
Services are 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Revs. Jeff Gramza and Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Northport Cemetery
Calling is 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Contributions may be sent to State of the Heart Hospice.
