The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Thomas Weimert
Thomas H. Weimert, 80, St. Marys, died at 3:04 a.m. July 27, 2012.
He was born Nov. 22, 1931, in Wapakoneta to Carl and Rosella Meyer Weimert. On Aug. 25, 1984, he married Doris Williams, who died Sept. 9, 2000.
Surviving are four sons, Bruce Weimert, Lima, Vance Stemen, Tenn., Steven Sprague, Wapakoneta, and Gregory Sprague, Wapakoneta; four daughters, Carla Weimert, Lima, Vicky Spencer, Lima, Christina Sprague, Botkins, and Kimberly Holliday, Lima; a brother, Don (Janet) Weimert, St. Marys; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Richard Weimert; and a sister, Charlene Fannon.
He was a 1949 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was an electrician and was retired from Huffys.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Calling is 9-10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral home in St. Marys.
Memorials may be made to the church or to Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
