The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Stanley Meihaus
Stanley A. Meihaus Jr., 73, formerly of Coldwater, died Aug. 30, 2012, at his residence in Hollidaysburg, Pa.
He was born March 30, 1939, in Winchester, Ky., to Stanley A. Sr. and Ellen Kennedy Meihaus. On Sept. 30, 1961, he married Karen W. Wohrley, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Christine (Christopher) Frost, Lexington, Ky., Laura (Tom) Burke, Lexington, and Barbara (Ron) Nosek, Hollidaysburg; two sons, Stanley A. III (Ellen) Meihaus, Davidson, N.C., and Steven (Sara) Meihaus, Fairfax Station, Va.; three sisters, Peggy Haskell, Jeanne Nagle and Carol Rasp, all of Fort Mitchell, Ky.; three brothers, James Meihaus, Union, Ky., Robert Meihaus, Fort Mitchell, and Donald Meihaus, Erlanger, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was a 1957 graduate of Xavier High School, Cincinnati, and a 1961 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He was an Army veteran and had retired as an accountant and stockbroker.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. He volunteered at the Hollidaysburg Catholic School lunch room, St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank and St. Leonard's Home.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Clement G. Gardner officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
Calling is 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
Memorials may be given to the Hollidaysburg Catholic School, St. Leonard's Home or St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.
