The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Alice Smith
Alice L. Smith, 92, St. Marys, died at 4:15 a.m. Oct. 21, 2012, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.
She was born Oct. 12, 1920, in St. Marys to John and Catherine Kauffman Dock. She was married to Carl Smith, who is deceased.
Surviving are two granddaughters and a great-grandson.
Also deceased are two sons, John (Christine) Smith and Carl Smith Jr.
She was retired from the St. Marys Cotton Mill and was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, and its Dorcas quilting society.
Funeral rites are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial will follow at Loramie Valley Cemetery in Botkins.
Calling is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
