The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Edwin Siegrist
Edwin A. Siegrist, 94, Fort Recovery, died Dec. 4, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born April 1, 1918, in St. Peter to Anthony and Rose Miller Siegrist. On Aug. 28, 1948, he married Mary Klosterman, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Paul (Alberta) Siegrist, St. Henry, Joe (Diane) Siegrist, Jay County, Ind., and Andrew (Pamela) Siegrist, Fort Recovery; three daughters, Rita McEldowney, Fort Recovery, Diane (Duane) Mendenhall, Yorkshire, and Ruth (Mark) Beyke, Fort Recovery; two sisters-in-law, Dolores Siegrist, Fort Recovery and Rose Siegrist, Fort Wright, Ky.; 24 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Mark McEldowney; four brothers, Otto, Odillo "Shorty," Urban and Ivo Siegrist; four sisters, Leona Schmidt, Barbara Kreuzjans, Imelda Wilker and Celine Homan; and three grandchildren.
He worked as a farmer and a self-employed drag line owner and operator. He was a member at St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, where he also belonged to the Holy Name Society.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
