The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Rita Evers
Rita J. Evers, 88, Tipp City, died Jan. 4, 2013, at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.
She was born Aug. 29, 1924, to John and Philomena Braun Siegrist. On Aug. 18, 1951, she married Clarence "Dick" Evers, who died April 9, 2007.
She is survived by six children, Patrick (Janet) Evers, Rossburg, Jacalyn Grillot, Versailles, Charles (Gina) Evers, New Weston, Stephen (Sally) Evers, Greenville, Mike (Cynthia) Evers, Portland, Ind., and Jeannie (Darin) Dellinger, Tipp City; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Verena Mahle, Celina, and in-laws, Bertha Siegrist, Celina and Martha Lou Siegrist, Beavercreek.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Debra Evers;a son-in-law, Nicholas Grillot; two grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Catherine (Ben) Backs, Fr. Urban Siegrist, Sr. Helen Marie Siegrist, Cletus Siegrist, Sylvan (Freda) Siegrist and John Siegrist; and brother-in-law Paul Mahle.
She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and its Ladies Sodality, and St. Mary's Church in Greenville.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Burkettsville.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
