The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lawrence Luebke
Lawrence A. "Dick" Luebke, 87, Minster, died at 2:40 p.m. Jan. 8, 2013, after a week at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
He was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Maria Stein to Fred and Helen Walterbusch Luebke. He married Rosalee E. Schemmel on Aug. 10, 1946, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Aug. 23, 2007.
He is survived by children, Jim (Diane) Boerger, Westlake, Nancy (Joe) Bruns, Minster, Dan Luebke, New Bremen, Sandy (Larry) Hoying, Minster, Brenda (Craig) Sherman, Minster, Elaine (Roy) Brown, Minster, Larry (Jenny) Luebke, Minster, and Bruce (Ann) Luebke, Celina; 27 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene (Tom) Woehrmyer, Minster, and Jeanette (Lee) Moeder, Maria Stein; and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Luebke, Celina, JoAnn Luebke, Fort Loramie, and Della Mae Luebke, Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Luebke; a daughter-in-law, Ann Luebke; a granddaughter, Johanna Hoying; and siblings, Luetta Schemmel, Marie Wente, Alvin Luebke, Greg Luebke and Paul Luebke.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Minster Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles 1391, the Cataract Fire Company and Lake Loramie Improvement Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Minster Machine 25 years ago.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will take place with full military honors at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
