The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Gerald Unroe
Gerald L. Unroe, 74, Celina, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 15, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Dayton, to Virgil and Hermina W. Plieman Unroe. On Oct. 27, 1989, he married Jacqueline Burden, who lives in Celina.
Also surviving are his children, Beck (Andrew) Howard of Huber Heights, Anthony Unroe of Dayton and Michael Unroe of Dayton; his stepchildren, Elaine Elking of Mineral Wells, Texas, Carol (Terry) Walters of Celina, Eric (Madison) Smith of Celina, Lisa (Mark) Shively of Celina and Stacy (Jason) Smith-Drummond of St. Marys; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Dale (Sally) Unroe of Fort Loramie; and his sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Bruce) Baumgartner of Dayton. He graduated from the Patterson Co-Op in Dayton. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dayton. He was formerly employed at NCR in Dayton and retired from Brookside Trucking in Maria Stein.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Feb. 2, 2013, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, the Rev. Matt Reynolds officiating.
Calling is one hour before services on Feb. 2, 2013, at the Church.
