The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Elmer White
Elmer T. White, 84, Celina, passed away at 4:27 p.m. Feb. 27, 2013, at the Gardens of Celina.
He was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Blackcreek Township, to Elmer C. and Violet (Steen) White. On Nov. 24, 1949, he married Helen Marie Edinger, who lives in Celina.
Also surviving are his children, Linda (Ken) Doner of Celina, Bob (Joan) White of Sidney, Mary (Paul) Grandlienard of Bluffton, Ind., and Nancy (Daniel) Wheeler of Celina; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles White of Willshire; and a sister, Vera (Vernon) Kuhn of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark White, an infant sister, Nora Pearl White, and his sister-in-law, Helen Jean White.
He graduated from Coldwater High School with the class of 1946. He was a member of AFSCME Council #8 Union in Sidney. He was a self-employed construction worker and retired from the state highway department of Ohio in 1994. He loved Eldora Speedway and was an avid racing fan.
Private services will be held at the family's convenience.
Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
