The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Werner Schwartz
Werner G. "Bern" Schwartz, 58, New Bremen, died at 11:35 a.m. March 21, 2013, at his sister's residence near St. Marys.
He was born in St. Marys on May 11, 1954, to Louis C. and Rita B. Dues Schwartz. On May 13, 1977, he married Phyllis Wenning, who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are his siblings, Roseann (Michael) Shelby of St. Marys, Dale (Sandy) Schwartz of New Bremen, Carl (Diane) Schwartz of New Bremen, Karen (John) Brandewie of Fort Loramie, and Mark (Joan) Schwartz of New Bremen; a number of nieces and nephews; his father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Joan Wenning of New Bremen; and brother-in-law, Mark (Nancy) Wenning of Bowling Green.
He was a tool and die maker at Crown Equipment Corporation of New Bremen, and recently retired after more than 35 years of service. He was a fun uncle who was loved by all of his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed playing golf and doing yard work.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating.
Calling is 9 a.m. until the time of the services Monday at the church. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Grand Lake Hospice, St. Marys, or the Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home of New Bremen is handling the arrangements.
