The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Weisgerber
Mary Meyer Weisgerber, 90, of Findlay, died at 7:10 a.m. May 27, 2013, at The Heritage.
She was born May 7, 1923, in St. Henry, to Joseph and Elizabeth Overman Gehle. She married Wilfred A. "Slim" Meyer April 12, 1947, and he died Oct. 2, 1968. She then married Frederick Weisgerber in September 1978; they lived in Defiance and he also preceded her in death.
Also surviving are three sons, James W. Meyer and Robert L. "Moby" (Vicki) Meyer, all of Findlay, and Thomas G. (Nancy) Meyer of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Joyce (Mike) Hartman of Findlay; three stepsons, Jim (Deb) Weisgerber and Jack (Mary) Weisgerber, both of Defiance, and Mike (Hillary) Weisgerber of Stanford, Conn.; two sisters, Leona and Anthonet; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Leo, Aloysious, Henry, Vincent, Joseph, Gerhard and Leroy Gehle; four sisters, Maimie, Bernadine, Roseanne and Betty; a daughter-in-law, Judy Meyer; and a granddaughter, Holly Meyer.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Findlay, and its Rosary Altar Society, and a founding member of Leo Councilettes. She was the former owner of Slim & Mary's Launderette, a life member and former president of Amvets 21, and a former member of Womens League of Townhall, Defiance.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Msgr. Mike Hohenbrink officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, where an Amvets Service will begin at 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church or the American Alzheimer's Association.
