The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jerry Hittle
Jerry Lee Hittle, 62, Union City, passed away, June 9, 2013, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
He was born Nov. 30, 1950, in Greenville, to Lewis "Jr." and Betty (Elson) Hittle. His mother survives.
He is also survived by his wife of 29 years, Deborah (Fisher) Hittle; three children, Sheryl (Rick) Byron of Piqua, Jason (Alli) Hittle of Rossburg and Allison (Jonathan) Butler of Union City, Ind.; grandchildren, Coltin and Kaitlyn Byron, Kylie, Kelsey and Kaleb Hittle and Little Baby Butler on the way; sisters, Barb (Rick) Emans of Mendon, Diane Hittle of Celina, Sherry (Todd) Decker of Celina; and a brother, Bob (Pat) Hittle of New Weston.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie and Brenda Hittle and Linda Gheen; one brother, Mike Hittle; and a half-brother, Ron Hines.
He was a machinist and fabricator who retired from Whirlpool after 33 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, woodworking, NASCAR and Eldora Speedway.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. the Rev. Eric Swenson officiating. Burial will follow in Ansonia Cemetery.
Calling is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Reid Hospice Foundation, Richmond, Ind., or The American Heart Association.
