The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

William Schulenberg
William E. Schulenberg, 86, of Nakomes, Fla., died May 24, 2013, at the Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota, Fla.
He was born Feb. 12, 1927, in New Bremen, to Elton and Mildred Vornholt Schulenberg. In 1952, he married Ruth Miles, and they had recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.   
Other survivors include his children, Martha (Richard) Hien, Robert Schulenberg, Jeff (Sue) Schulenberg and William (Mindy) Schulenberg Jr.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his brother, Ted Schulenberg of Texas.
Preceding him in death was his sister, Jean Dunbrook.
He grew up in Akron, and after graduation from high school he joined the U.S. Army, serving in Italy during World War II. He attended and graduated from Purdue University, where he had studied mechanical engineering. He joined General Motors Corp. and worked in Warren and Ann Arbor, Mich., He retired in 1983 and moved to the Sarasota, Fla., area. He loved to golf and fish, and was very active in many service clubs and civic organizations.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, the Rev. Ed Bray officiating. Inurnment will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Memorials may be given to any charity of the donor's choice.
