The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

CELINA - Voters in the Celina, St. Henry and Marion Local school districts, Union Township and the village of Mendon will be asked in November to approve a 0.5-mill renewal levy to support the county's library system.
Mercer County Commissioners on Thursday approved action to place the five-year, renewal levy on the Nov. 5 ballot. If passed, it would collect $276,622 annually and cost an owner of a $100,000 home approximately $17.50 per year in taxes. [More]

CELINA - The sights and smells of vendors that previously filled the downtown area during the annual Celina Lake Festival were replaced with normal traffic along Main Street this morning.
For the first time in festival history, all vendors were moved to Lake Shore Park near Grand Lake where nearly all activities will take place this weekend. [More]
