The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Ann Hausfeld
Mary Ann Hausfeld, 74, of Piqua, died at 6:36 p.m. Aug. 25, 2013, at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
She was born Oct. 28, 1938, in Osgood, to Alfred and Catherine Bills Bohman. On Nov. 23, 1964, she married Gerald E. "Jerry" Hausfeld in Osgood, and he died July 5, 2013.
Surviving are three children, Jeffery Hausfeld of Chillicothe, Ann (George) Curtis of Piqua and Mark (Amy) Hausfeld of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Hausfeld, Jerry Curtis, Abigail Hausfeld, Elle Hausfeld and Peter Hausfeld; a brother, Louis (Joanne) Bohman of Osgood; two sisters, Alma Goettemoeller of St. Henry and Alfreda (Vincent) Gross of Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Norma Bohman of Osgood; and a brother-in-law, Roger Siegrist of Coldwater.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Bohman; a sister, Jeannie Siegrist; and a brother-in-law, Paul Goettemoeller.
She was a 1956 graduate of Minster High School and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Piqua. She had worked for Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Piqua Moose, Eagles, and Amvets.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Bolte officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Boniface Catholic Church, Piqua, Piqua Catholic School, or Lehman Catholic High School, Sidney.
