The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ruth Liening
Ruth E. Liening, 90, St. Henry, died Oct. 4, 2013, at Celina Manor.
She was born Oct. 11, 1922, in Dayton, to Albert and Nora Kothman Vondrell. On May 27, 1950, she married Louis Liening, who died Nov. 6, 1968.
She is survived by five children, Ronald (Sue) Liening, Minster, Jean (Jack) Bridges, Fort Pierce, Fla., Vicki (Mark) Richhart, Versailles, Dan (Crystal) Liening, Tipton, Ind., and Bill (Liz Robinson) Liening, Pooler, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Marvin) Braun, Coldwater, and Ginny (Don) Stammen, Dayton; a brother, Don (Ruthann) Vondrell, Leesburg, Fla.; and in-laws, Bob (Jeanne) Liening, Tucson, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty (John) Remaklus, and in-laws, Joe (Loretta) Liening, Alvira (Charlie) Bertke and Anna (Ed) Severt.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and NAIM of the North.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice or Celina Manor Activity Fund.
