The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

John Thieman
John Thieman, 83, of Rockport, Texas, formerly of Minster, died Oct. 6, 2013, in Aransas Pass, Texas.
He was born Dec. 15, 1929, in Minster, to Charles and Gertrude Thieman.
Surviving are a son, David (Jill) Thieman, Fort Mill, S.C.; two daughters, Christine (Kevin Gokey) Nicci, Bridgewater, N.J., and Laura (Patrick) McNulty, Round Hill, Va.; five grandchildren, Hugh Henry Thieman, Elliott Elizabeth Thieman, Grace McNulty, Isabel McNulty and Christina Nicci; a niece, Marie (Brian) Schwieterman, New Bremen, and her children, Luke and Ben Schwieterman, New Bremen.
A brother, Donald, and a sister, Mary Ann, are deceased.
He graduated from The Ohio State University, served in the U.S. Army and worked 30 years at Honeywell. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Rockport Country Club. He moved to Rockport because of his love for hunting and fishing.
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
