The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Rose Kramer
Rose B. Kramer, 92, died Feb. 17, 2014, at Elmwood Assisted Living Center, New Bremen.
She was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Chickasaw, to the late Ben and Mathilda (Schmitmeyer) Niekamp. On Nov. 27, 1941, she married Othmer Kramer in St. Sebastian, and he died June 17, 1980.
She is survived by five children, Donald (Rita Muhlenkamp) Kramer, New Bremen, Norma Jean (John) Hagan, Springboro, Janet (Robert) Varro, Pinehurst, N.C., Del (Jane Quinter) Kramer, Celina, and Darrell (Vicki Brandts) Kramer, Montezuma; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Cletus (Hilda) Niekamp, New Bremen, Paul Niekamp, New Bremen, Dorothy Schmitt, St. Henry, and Edna (Roger) Lochtefeld, Fort Recovery; and in-laws, Dorothy Niekamp, Montezuma, Luella (Melvin) Rindler, Montezuma, Albin (Lucy) Kramer, Maria Stein, Lucy Kramer, Celina, Norb Kramer, Chickasaw, Andy (Ellen) Kramer, Chickasaw, and Mary Ann Severt-Overman, St. Marys.
Deceased are brothers, Mark Niekamp and Tom Niekamp, and in-laws, Ruth Niekamp, Ralph Schmitt, Leon Kramer, Agnes and Elmer Knapke, Alice Kramer, Roman Severt, Gene Overman, Helen and Charley Connolly and Werner and Marilyn Kramer.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking, gardening, Cincinnati Reds baseball and family gatherings. She worked at Mercer County Community Hospital and the former Valley Nursing Home. She also volunteered with the sewing circle at Coldwater hospital.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Montezuma.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
