The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Marilynne Schroer
Marilynne J. Schroer, 85, St. Marys, died at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 22, 2014, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born April 4, 1928, in Wapakoneta, to L.E. and Bernice Kohler Brandt. On May 9, 1948, she married Elvin "Gene" Schroer at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1998.
Surviving are two children, Chris (Georgiana) Schroer, St. Marys, and Cindy (Jack) Miley, Celina; three grandchildren, Sara (Joshua) Watson, Elvin (Lisa) Schroer, and Jason (Tracy) Miley; and seven great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, William, Robert and Thomas Brandt.
She was a 1946 graduate of Blume High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She was a farm wife and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys, where she was a longtime choir member and Sunday School teacher. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Funeral rites will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home West Chapel, St. Marys, the Rev. Dr. Ed Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to Grand Lake Hospice or St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
