The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Bernice Miller
Bernice Maxine Cook Miller, 94, Coldwater, passed away March 6, 2014, at her home.
She was born Jan. 25, 1920, in Kennard, Ind., to Erskine Alexander and Goldie Kellum Cook.
On Nov. 28, 1946, she married Herbert J. Miller, who died May 13, 1985.
She is survived by three daughters, Deb Bennett and Mary (Paul) Chandler, all of Muncie, Ind., and Denise Gass, Coldwater; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Friend, Cicero, Ind., and Joanne McClellan; a sister-in-law, Martha Noll, Coldwater; stepbrother-in-law, Jim Bonifas, Coldwater; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mike Gass; sister, Kate (Wendel) Brown; a brother, Jim (Marybelle) Cook; and in-laws, Paul Friend, Jack McClellan, Margaret (Ves) Buschur and Jim Noll.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, was retired from People's Bank and was active in bridge clubs.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Senior Citizens.
