The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Moon III
Richard A. "Rick" Moon, III, 36, St. Marys, died March 9, 2014, near his home on Washington Pike.
He was born Feb. 26, 1978, in St. Marys, to Richard and Cheryl (Carpenter) Moon. He married Michelle Kittel on Oct. 25, 2008, and she survives in New Knoxville.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl (Tony) Newberry, St. Marys; his father, Richard (Donna) Moon Jr., St. Marys; children, Clay Taylor, Chicago, Ill., Haylie Moon, New Knoxville, Colton Moon, New Knoxville, Kanyen Sexton, New Bremen, Dade Moon, New Knoxville, Remi Smith, St. Marys; two stepchildren, Chase Boysell, New Knoxville, and Skylar Boysell, New Knoxville; a sister, Kelly (Jason) Bott, St. Marys; stepsiblings, Jodie Williams, Lima, Chuck Williams, Lima, Todd Williams, Lima, Tony (Rose) Williams, Lima, and Jamie (Sherrie) Williams, Houston, Texas; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Dicke, St. Marys; father-in-law, Michael (Angela) Kittel, New Knoxville; stepgrandmother, Rosie Newberry, St. Marys; stepgrandmother, Lois Roettger, St. Marys; nieces, Ashley Bubp, Rachel Bubp, Sarah Mabry and Emilee Bott; great-nieces, Payton Johnson and Adeline Randolph; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Rachel Carpenter Sr., and paternal grandparents, Richard A. Moon Sr., La Donna Dieringer and Orin Roettger.
He was a 1996 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He was employed at EMI Plastics in Jackson Center. He enjoyed cooking and was exceptional with cooking meals on the grill. He liked to go hunting, fishing and trapping and ride his four-wheeler. He was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and Notre Dame and coached his kids' sports teams. His kids were the center of his life and he loved spending time with them.
Funeral rites will be 10:30 a.m.. Friday at Miller Funeral Home West Chapel, St. Marys, the Rev. Jim Sweigart officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Dayton Children's Hospital NICU.
