The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ronald Mescher
Ronald V. Mescher, 61, formerly of Minster, died at 12:35 a.m. March 24, 2014, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, due to pneumonia and complications of an acute leukemia diagnosis a week earlier.
He was born July 14, 1952, in Coldwater, to Paul and Alfrieda Hartings Mescher.
Survivors are brothers, Dale (Lisa) Mescher, Minster, and Mark (Rose) Mescher, Englewood; a sister, Joyce Weekley (Carl Ferneding), Cincinnati; two nephews, Kellen Mescher and Samuel Weekley; and two nieces, Bailey and Madison Mescher.
Deceased are a twin brother, Don; a brother, Doug; a sister, Sara; and a nephew, Drew Mescher.
He was a former member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. He formerly worked at Auglaize Industries and Cheryl Ann Industries.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
