The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Donald Kraner
Donald D. Kraner, 76, passed away at 5:19 a.m. March 18, 2014, at Kindred Hospital, Lima.
He was born Oct. 10, 1937, in Portland, Ind., to Gerald and Verna E. Thompson Kraner. In 2009, he married Yong Cha Smith, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Wade and Brad Kraner; five brothers, Keith (Mary) Kraner, Marietta, Thomas (Barbara) Kraner, Vinton, Homer (Joy) Kraner, Rockford, Max (Barbara) Kraner, Van Wert, and Ronnie Kraner, Florida; and two sisters, Marilyn Clifton, Ohio City, and Norma (Tim) Krueckeburg, Decatur, Ind.
Deceased are four brothers, Jack Kraner, Billy Kraner, Richard Kraner and Frank Staude; one sister, Betty (De Lloyd) Swoveland; and two brothers-in-law, Harold Clifton and Tim Krueckeburg.
He was a life-long resident of Rockford. He was a member of the Air National Guard and was called to serve in France for a year. He drove for Atlas Van Lines for 37 years and logged over 2 million miles without an accident.
Outside of trucking, he enjoyed working on and restoring antique tractors. He was a big fan of country music.
Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Chip Steffy officiating.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to a charity of the giver's choosing.
