The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ida Thobe
Ida L. Thobe, 91, Fort Recovery, died April 2, 2014, at Celina Manor Nursing Home, Celina.
She was born March 21, 1923, in Fort Loramie, to Frank and Elizabeth Ernst Barhorst. On May 3, 1944, she married Jerome Thobe in Fort Loramie, who preceded her in death June 17, 2001.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Kunk, Silsbee, Texas, Pat (Ron) May, Fort Recovery, and Bonnie Rammel, Fort Recovery; three sons, John (Susan) Thobe, Willow Springs, Mo., Joe (Deb) Thobe, Fort Recovery, and Jerry "Dutch" (Beth) Thobe, Fort Recovery; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Treva Barhorst, Minster, and Romilda Barhorst,Versailles.
Preceding her in death were three sons-in-law, Ralph Rammel, Charles Breaux and Gene Kunk; three brothers, Victor, Richard and Vernon Barhorst; and three sisters, Esther Miller, Vera Meyers and Dorothy Miller.
She was a graduate of Fort Loramie High School, Fort Loramie, and member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
There is no calling.
