The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dennis Winner
Dennis F. Winner, 72, New Weston, died at 12:30 p.m. April 10, 2014, at Miami Hospital, Dayton, after being ill for 2 1/2 weeks.
He was born Jan. 26, 1942, in Coldwater, to Herb and Millie Poeppelman Winner. On Nov. 30, 1963, he married Marilyn Wente in New Bremen, and she survives in New Weston.
Also surviving are children, Sandy (Gary) Pierron, Versailles, Missy (Craig) Woltz, Tipp City, Denise (Dale) Winner, Brookville, Tim Winner and special friend, Janel, New Weston; grandchildren, Brett, Brandon, Brooke, Carsyn, Connor, Deanna, Derek, Danielle, Tara, Chad and Haley; a brother, Fred (Mary) Winner, New Weston, and Teresa (Jim) Fishpaw, Celina; in-laws, Shirley Seger, Janice (Dick) Ahrns, Tom (Joyce) Wente, Dennis (Leah) Wente, Connie Will, Ted (Ann) Wente; and a sister-in-law, Bert Wente.
He was preceded in death by in-laws, Dolores Bentz, Bob Wente, Walt Seger and Mike Will.
He retired from Midmark after over 40 years of service as a truck driver and was a turkey farmer. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, the Goat Farmers, Versailles Eagles, Osgood Legion, E & R Coffee Club and Celina Moose. He was a retired volunteer fireman for the Osgood Fire Department and a veteran of the National Guard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin Cemetery.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
