The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert Niemeyer
Robert Henry Niemeyer, 84, Wapakoneta, died at 9 p.m. April 12, 2014, at his residence following a short illness.
He was born July 28, 1929, in Moulton, to Gustave and Elsie Buddemeyer Niemeyer. On Nov. 7, 1949, he married Mary L. Rohr in New Knoxville, and she preceded him in death Feb. 27, 2014.
He is survived by his children, Debra (David) McFeely, Fort Loramie, Dale (Barb) Niemeyer, New Knoxville, Dana Niemeyer, Wapakoneta, and Darren (Tracy) Niemeyer, Wapakoneta; nine grandchildren, Ben (Niki) Niemeyer, Kristen (Joe) Harting, Shawn McFeely, Philip (Jamie) Niemeyer, Adam (Erika) Niemeyer, Ashley Niemeyer, Chad (Alexa) Niemeyer, Cole Niemeyer and Alison Niemeyer; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley, Katelyn, Madison, Aiden, Haley, Taylor, Brandon and AJ; a brother, George (Connie) Niemeyer, Wapakoneta; and two sisters, Donna Mann, Wapakoneta, and Julie (Vernon) Paul, New Bremen.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Strasburg.
He graduated from Wapakoneta High School, was a lifelong farmer and retired from the Wapakoneta Post Office, where he was a rural carrier. He was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, where he had served as a deacon and elder of the church.
Funeral rites will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, the Rev. Dr. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Ministry Center of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church or Wilson Hospice.
Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
