The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Elden Stolzenburg
Elden L. "Red" Stolzenburg, 87, St. Marys, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 9:44 a.m., April 22, 2014, in the emergency room at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born April 11, 1927, in Wapakoneta, to Henry and Alpha Myers Stolzenburg. On June 19, 1947, he married Mary Fogt, who died Jan. 8, 2002. He later married Carol McDonald, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Linda (Mick) Kramer, Botkins, and Eldon (Connie) Stolzenburg and Robert (Marie) Stolzenburg, all of St. Marys; three stepchildren, Roxann (James) Lengerich, St. Marys, Ron (Julie) Rupert, Whitesboro, Texas, and Rus (Deb) Rupert, Wapakoneta; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and two brothers, Don (Adella) Stolzenburg, Wapakoneta, and Larry (Roberta) Stolzenburg, Wapakoneta.
Also deceased are a great grandchild; a brother, Vernon; and a sister, Bernice Thomas.
He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 38 years of service. He served in the Army during World War II, and was a life member of the Wapakoneta VFW Post 8445. He loved writing poetry and had several of his poems published. He was also an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta VFW Post.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
