The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Rita Dailey
Rita L. Dailey, 81, Wapakoneta, died at 8:30 a.m., on her birthday, May 2, 2014, at Auglaize Acres.
She was born May 2, 1933, in Wapakoneta, to Anthony T. and Marie (Archer) Drexler, who preceded her in death. On April 18, 1951, she married Perry Eugene "Gene" Dailey, who died July 14, 2010.
Survivors include 11 children, Perry A. (Sue) Dailey, Orland Park, Ill., James Dailey, Wapakoneta, Rick (Roxanne) Dailey and Donald (Sue) Dailey, all of Cridersville, Jerry (Helen) Dailey, Willard, Larry (Lisa) Dailey, St. Henry, Rose Martin, Lima, Linda (Richard) Morey, Dayton, Connie (Joey) Hillman, Kenton, Carol Dailey, Cridersville, and Tina (Melvin) Applin, Wapakoneta; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred (Mae) Drexler, Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Dailey; three grandchildren, Joseph, Garrett and Aubrey; a sister, Helen Steinke; and brothers, Walter, Harold, Andy and Clyde.
A homemaker, she worked for 15 years as manager of the Wapa Theater. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, and attended St. Joseph High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Daniel Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
